Alfie is a serving police officer, made his name as a contestant on the ITV “Show Me The Funny” series. Alfie is a versatile and distinctively humorous after dinner speaker, presenter and comedy writer with his niche area as a serving police sergeant. He came slightly later to comedy and brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival! Alfie has an observational comedic style, with witty and often gritty anecdotes based on modern day policing!

He has written and presented three series of his BBC Radio Four comedy series ‘IT’S A FAIR COP’ which received both public and critical acclaim  – being described by the Daily Mail as “offbeat, revealing and very funny”. A fourth series has been commissioned for 2018. Alfie was one of the stars of ‘Show Me The Funny’ (ITV) and wrote and presented ‘Alfie Moore’s Almanac’ for BBC Radio. He has been featured on Comic Relief, as a pundit on Sky News, BBC Radio 4’s Idiots Guide to Crime and Punishment, Bizarre Crime (BBC 3), Confessions of a Police Officer (Channel 4) and in 2017 joined the presenting team of Criminals Caught on Camera (Channel 5).

He has many times written and performed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, including ‘I PREDICTED A RIOT’ and his critically acclaimed show about gambling ‘VIVA ALF’S VEGAS’.  During  August 2014 he debuted ‘THE NAKED STUN’ in Edinburgh where it was a total sell-out for the full month of the Festival run and was subsequently toured both nationally and internationally. His 2015 show ‘A FAIR COP STANDS UP’ was nominated for Best Comedy at the Buxton Festival and sold out in Edinburgh. He is currently touring his deliciously dark stand up comedy show ‘GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER’. Alfie has also supported Rhod Gilbert, Sarah Millican, Russell Kane and Milton Jones on their national comedy tours.

He is a patron of the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity which has, for the past four years,  seen him train brave business leaders in the art of comedy – helping to raise £125,000 for the charity.

Alfie is a member of Equity, with full Public Liability cover, and a Member of the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain.

If you are looking for a unique humorous speaker for your corporate event then please contact us and we will be pleased to discuss tailoring a performance from Alfie to your specific requirements.

Following the success of his BBC Radio 4 comedy series IT’S A FAIR COP Alfie was asked if he could “do something like that at our company’s training conference” and now offers bespoke FAIR COP ‘DILEMMA TRAINING’ as part of corporate conferences or business training days.

Rating

“Alfie spoke at the Annual Steel Industry Dinner and went down a storm – he is one of the best we have had. He is master of the dry delivery of some very funny tales and he instantly captured the mood of the evening. When the formal part of the event was over, Alfie stayed and chatted to the guests, a gesture which was much appreciated. We would thoroughly recommend him”.

Ian Harding, President of NASS

“Great after dinner light-hearted, intelligent speaker. Genuinely funny, topical, interactive and pitched just right to a mixed audience – no swearing, never offensive or rude. One of the best – felt we were in safe hands”.
Martin Axon, HR Director, Clugston Construction Ltd

“It was clear that Alfie had done his homework prior to our event and hence the style and content was perfect with delivery that was well judged and targeted at the audience in question. Very positive feedback from all who attended. I would not hesitate to recommend him”.
Mark Newton, Managing Director, Soleco UK Ltd

“What an entertainer - a mixed audience and they all laughed out loud. No innuendo, no smut, just very clever observations on the law, lawyers, police and the public. The best charter speaker we have had in living memory”.
Rodger Heathcote, President of The Rotary Club of Chesterfield Scarsdale

Nick Wynn-Williams, President Wolverhampton Law Society
“I have heard Alfie Moore speak at two formal Rotary occasions, and at both events the word I would use to describe him is - brilliant. He adapts his material to suit the audience most professionally. I would highly recommend him as an entertainer for both a mixed, and single sex audience”.
Paul Bacon, President of the Rotary Club of Mansfield

“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed your after dinner speech at the Burnley and Pendle Annual Law Dinner. You struck exactly the right balance for the audience and any future speakers will have a hard act to follow. As a final note I just wanted to mention how helpful you were in the planning stages given that it was the first time I had organised the dinner”.
Hannah Lamb, Burnley & Pendle Law Society

“After hearing Alfie speak at an event, I subsequently booked his services for an Awards ceremony that I was arranging for one of my clients. Alfie proved to be extremely entertaining and I received fabulous feedback. Several guests saying that they just didn’t stop laughing! He is excellent”.
Barbara Hallwood, Director, Marketing Profile
